Evolution of UX and Industry Workflows from Traditional to Agile AI

The ACM SIGCHI Student Chapter conducted its fourth event on 30th September 2024, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the H Kumar Vyas Seminar Hall, MIT ID Academic Building. The panel discussion brought together prominent industry experts and enthusiastic students to explore the transformative journey of UX workflows from traditional methodologies to agile AI-driven approaches. Moderated by 4th-year UX students Nishita Jindal and Amogha Pathak, the session highlighted key industry trends, best practices, and the increasing importance of empathy and data-driven design in creating exceptional user experiences.
The event attracted 60 students from various design departments, alongside notable faculty members, who contributed their academic perspectives. The interactive session featured thought-provoking discussions between students and panelists, touching on topics such as:

  • The evolution of UX and design workflows over the years.

  • The role of collaboration, empathy, and innovation in modern design.

  • The impact of data and AI in shaping user experiences.

The lively Q&A segment encouraged students to delve deeper into the subject, making the session both enriching and inspiring.
